Tutorial Love blooms here.

Sorry it took so long, but I will try to explain how I made one of the cards from Regionals.
1. First I took a regular card base(5 1/2 x 4 1/4) and covered it with paper from the Wishes paper pack.
2. Attach a strip (5 1/2 x 1 1/2) just below the center of the card of the same paper just the flip side.
3. The flowers are made from the Exclusive Close to my heart Art philosophy cricut Cartridge, This flower is found on page 68 of the handbook, (key= font+shift E8) I am not sure what size I made these from, but I do know that I used cotton candy card stock. HINTS: I use my piercing tool on the petals to curve the edges down before rolling the flower. I use Liquid glass to secure the petals to the base, if you hold for a minute or so it should stay.
4. While the flower is drying more completely, I worked on the other accessories. The buttons, are the bulk pink buttons turn upside down on the versa mark pad, then sprinkle black embossing powder on it, using the CTMH tweezers in the button holes from the bottom side of the the button heat with craft heater to set the embossing powder. Repeat process until desired coverage obtained.
5. Repeat process with head of pin from the bling assortment pack by rolling the head of the pin in the versa mark, and then dipping into embossing powder. HINT: I use leftover foam from brad packs to stick the pin in to hold it while heat embossing with the craft heater.
6. Once liquid glass is dry on flowers, you can emboss the edges of the petals on the 3 flowers. Turn flowers upside down and LIGHTLY press petals into the versa mark pad, and then sprinkle accent color onto the top of the flower. Using the tweezers to hold the flower, heat set the embossing powder. This coverage should be only spotty. I have also used the versa mark refill and dropped the versa mark into the flower and then added embossing powder to achieve a different look. Experiment with it to see which colors (I used white daisy, clear, and holiday red in different combinations) and coverage you like.
7. leaves were made using sweet leaf card stock, punch 8 2 inch scalloped circles, Fold in half and trim to look like a leaf. unfold and using embossing tool on either the soft side of the versa mat or the mat with the piercing kit add veins to the the leaves. On the raised side of the leaf, sand the top of the leaves, and run the leaves over the top of the garden green ink pad.
8. Cut from white card stock using the Exclusive Close to my heart Art philosophy cricut Cartridge, This shape is found on page 67 of the handbook, (key= E7) Sorry again, I don't remember the size. Then stamp with sentiment ( I used Love blooms here)the in vineyard berry ink. Add a pin clip to sentiment.
9. Assemble as desired using gluedots

The past two days were so awesome! I learned so much, and was able to see old friends, make new friends, and create. For my presentation I talked about using embossing in a few new ways. My photographer (My husband Jon) took all of these pictures for you. I will put together a how to post when I get time later this week for you all, so check back. Thank you, Kristin

Make if from your heart contest winners!

To my surprise this week I found out that I won three times in this contest!!!! I am so excited to pick out new products as my reward! Here are the winning pictures. The Roxie layout is from our wedding... I was much thinner then. The wonderland layout is from last year when we cut our Christmas tree down, and the card was using a very Christmasy stamp of the month for October in an unusual way. I hope you enjoy them.

DIsney scavenger hunt

I put this together in hopes to keep my nieces busy during our upcoming trip... but don't tell them it is a secret! If you can't tell the key is on the lid... that gives the clue by the color of the paper on one side as to where each item may be found. We are going to give prizes to them when they find a certain number of items. Each girl will have her own box.

My Wishes album... TOP TEN at conference!

I worked on this one for quite some time, but I love how it turned out. These are my wishes, for my family and I. The rules were, at least 10 pages, one page no printed papers so I stamped the background on that one, and one page no pictures, that layout I chose to break up, and the first page is the intro and the last page is the other half of that layout. One layout had to be in studio J done digitally. I am sure there were more rules, but I can't think of them right now. I was so proud to have been chosen in the top 10. The three that won were wonderful, and they should be congratulated for all of their beautiful work as well.
